PESHAWAR: The Election Commission of Pakistan has issued the election schedule for the Senate seat vacated by the disqualification of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Senator Shibli Faraz, under which nomination papers will be submitted from October 8 and polling will be held on October 30.
The Election Commission of Pakistan has issued the schedule after the disqualification of Senator Shibli Faraz. According to the schedule, a public notice will be issued on October 7, nomination papers will be submitted on October 8 and 9, and the initial list of candidates will be released on October 10.
The scrutiny of candidates for the vacant Senate seat will be held till October 13, the final list will be released on October 18, while nomination papers will be withdrawn by October 20.
Polling for the Senate seat will be held on October 30 and the Provincial Election Commissioner has been appointed as the Returning Officer.
