French President Emmanuel Macron arrived in the United Arab Emirates on an official visit, where he was received by President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

According to Arab media, an official reception ceremony was held at the airport upon Emmanuel Macron’s arrival in Abu Dhabi. On this occasion, the national anthems of the United Arab Emirates and France were played, while an honor guard saluted him.

Emmanuel Macron’s visit is important in the context of increasing tensions in the Gulf region and the difficulties facing the global energy market.

One of the main objectives of this visit is to consult with regional leaders to restore freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz and secure energy supply routes.

France wants to further strengthen cooperation with Gulf countries in the fields of defense, security, trade and investment.

In addition to these issues, new technologies and regional stability are also expected to be discussed in the meeting with the leadership of the United Arab Emirates.

Macron’s visit comes at a time when Gulf countries are intensifying diplomatic efforts to reduce tensions in the region and normalize global energy supplies.

On the other hand, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov also arrived in Tehran today on the appeal of Gulf countries to use their influence to achieve a ceasefire in Iran.

It should be noted that the ongoing war between the United States and Iran poses risks to energy facilities and maritime transportation in the region, which is facing disruptions in global oil supplies and an increase in prices.
