Lahore: The Pakistan Cricket Board has also decided to send the national team selector Asad Shafiq to Australia.
According to the sources, after the approval of PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi, a selector will be present with the team on the overseas tour. Arrangements are being made to bring Asad Shafiq to Australia in the first phase. He will look at the wicket and the conditions there and help form the playing XI.

Asad Shafiq will also take fellow selectors into confidence on the Australian conditions. The national selector will take the opinion of the captain and the head coach and share it with the selection committee, after which the selection committee will field the final 11-member team.
At the end of the tour, Asad Shafiq will take his fellow selectors into confidence by preparing his report. Pakistan cricket team has to play three ODI and three T20 matches from November 4 to 18.
