LAHORE: Enthusiastic Chief Selector of national team Inzamam-ul-Haq has expressed hope in clinching the Test series against West Indies as this time it’s a great chance for green shirts to register their victory.
Inzamam-ul-Haq said that the team will make the win historic but, firstly there is a need to overcome the mistakes done during Twenty20 and one-day international (ODI) series. He said that Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is giving chance to Kamran Akmal and Ahmed Shahzad over their good performance whereas fast bowler Rahat Ali would not be the part of the squad due to his injury. Responding to a question related to Misbah-ul-Haq’s captaincy, chief selector said that Pakistani team have never won Test series against West Indies however, this is a big chance for them to show their performance under the supervision of Misbah. He also clarified that tournaments at junior level (Under-13 and Under-16) are very helpful in arousing the skills of aspiring cricketers whereas they are also useful in finding the right talent in the country.
Inzamam said that Mohammad Ali is planning for future by keeping in view Champions Trophy. He also assured to give chance to those who will perform outstandingly. Agencies
