Chief Justice of Pakistan Yahya Afridi heard the cases in the Supreme Court Courtroom No.1 on the first day.
30 cases were scheduled for hearing in the court of Chief Justice of Pakistan Yahya Afridi. Chief Justice Yahya Afridi heard 24 cases from 9:30 to 10:40. Six cases were adjourned till 11.30 am due to non-availability of counsel or parties.
Most of the appeals before the court were overdue. The court dismissed the objection of overdue appeal in a property dispute case on the basis of the petitioner’s widowhood. A 2-member bench comprising Chief Justice Yahya Afridi and Justice Shahid Bilal Hasan conducted the hearing. Chief Justice Yahya Afridi heard six cases after a break.
