BAKU: The development and achievements of Azerbaijan is a pride of all Muslim countries and an example of governance for a number of developing countries, said Pakistan’s Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif.
He made the remarks during a meeting with Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev in an expanded format in Baku.
‘I have to say that we are deeply impressed. I told Mr. President that I had not seen such a clean city before,’ said the Pakistani PM. ‘Perhaps I have just forgotten to have seen, such a clean city like Baku. However, this is undoubtedly one of the cleanest cities I have ever seen. We’re captivated by the city’s planning and all that we saw yesterday and today.’
PM Nawaz added that it is absolutely amazing that all this work has been completed in 15 years.
‘First of all, I’d like to say that making a visit to your country is an honor for us. We are very happy to see Baku,’ said the PM. ‘Over the past 10-15 years, Baku has turned into such a beautiful city and it is absolutely amazing that all this work has been completed in 15 years.’
‘As I mentioned, I visited Baku in 1998. To be on an official visit here is a great honor for me, personally. Mr President, I should note that the Pakistani people appreciate the prescience of your late father, former President Heydar Aliyev, development of fraternal Azerbaijan, and your wise leadership over the country,’ said the prime minister, adding that the success achieved by Azerbaijan over the last 25 years is remarkable.
