KARACHI: Law enforcement agency on Saturday arrested another Indian spy working for Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) in an operation on Jamshed Road area of Karachi. Security agency has seized Indian passport and sensitive documents from the Indian spy.
Law enforcement agencies had ramped up action against spies after different networks of Indian intelligence agency were unmasked. Dozens of accomplices and several agents were apprehended from different areas of Balochistan and Sindh in the recent past.
Two Pakistani facilitators of Indian intelligence were identified last month. Reportedly, both Mehmood Siddique and Khalil Behrami helped spies command unrest in the metropolitan. Intelligence agency of the neighbouring country shifted both the spies back to their homeland after Kulbushan Jhadav’s arrest.
Hundreds of security operations were carried out using information provided by arrested agent of RAW, Kulbhushan Jadhav. He was arrested in March in Balochistan and had confessed to working for Indian interest that threatened Pakistan’s stability.
In a video confession released by armed forces, Jadhav confessed to having links with terrorists and target killers in Karachi and Balochistan. He admitted his affiliation with RAW and stated that he was an in-service naval officer who started working in intelligence department in 2003.
Jadhav provided different tip-offs to law enforcement agencies that led to several key arrests in different parts of the country.
In April, two Indian agents were arrested in Sindh’s Thatta. Counter Terrorism Department (CTD). Senior Superintendent Police (SSP) of Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) Naveed Khawaja had said that detained Saddam Hussain alias Roshan and Bacchal Solangi ran a large network of Indian spies working as fishermen in Thatta and other cities.
According to reports, the Indian spy had been changing his residence frequently and traveled to six countries as well.
