SRINAGAR: In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) has released another protest calendar in the wake of the custodial death of veteran Hurriyat leader, Syed Ali Gilani, starting with a march towards Sopore, Islamabad and Srinagar respectively, today (Tuesday).
According to Kashmir Media Service, the APHC spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar urged the people from North, South and Central Kashmir to march with placards, banners with freedom slogans.
He asked people to march towards their respective Tehsil headquarters on September 8 (Wednesday) and hold peacefully protest and pray for the martyrs of Kashmir. Women will also hold Azadi congregations in their respective villages and mohallas squares as well, he added.
On September 9 (Thursday), the spokesman said, people will move towards Lal Chowk, in their respective cars and two wheelers, and assemble there to hold Azadi rally. People will also hold a march towards Mazar-e-Quaid and Mazar-e-Iqbal in Pakistan and hold prayers and reinvigorate their support for Kashmir’s freedom movement.
He said on September 10 (Friday), march towards Syed Ali Gilani’s grave for ‘Tajdeed ahad’ will be held. Juma prayers will be offered at Jamia Masjid in Hyderpora. People will hold march towards Hyderpora while people in Hyderpora will make the necessary arrangements for visitors.
The spokesman urged the Kashmiri Diaspora to amplify the protest programmes.
