A high-level Pakistani delegation has arrived in Tehran with Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir in connection with the talks between the US and Iran.

According to the Pakistan Army’s Public Relations Department, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir has arrived in Tehran, Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi is also accompanying the field marshal.

According to Arab media, a high-level Pakistani delegation has arrived in Iran where it will hold important discussions regarding the resumption of talks between the US and Iran.

According to the Qatari broadcaster Al Jazeera, Iranian sources have said that this visit is taking place at a time when efforts are underway to resume talks between the two countries.

Earlier, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baqai had said that messages are being exchanged with the US through Pakistan and that Iran will host the Pakistani delegation today as part of the talks.

According to Iranian media, the second round of talks is expected in the Pakistani capital Islamabad in the next few days.
