ISLAMABAD: Editor in Chief Pakistan Group of Newspapers and Chairman Roze News SK Niazi, while talking in his renowned talk show Sachi Baat, said two or three major incidents have happened in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa before, Kohat accident is also a very big incident, Afghanistan is behind terrorism, business has been destroyed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pak Army is making sacrifices for national defense, Pakistan’s armed forces play an important role in the war against terrorism, salute to the sacrifices of the Pakistani Armed Forces and pray for the forgiveness of the martyrs, political leadership and parties should seriously consider the country’s situation, the current situation in the country is a matter of concern for everyone, political parties should look beyond their own interests and assess the situation in the country, the sacrifices of the army and the situation in the country should not be ignored, national interest should be given priority over personal and political interests, establishment of new provinces can ease administrative matters, the creation of new provinces will make it easier for the public to access government facilities, new provinces can boost business activities, establishment of new provinces will create new employment opportunities, administrative division can lead to better performance competition among provinces, division of large provinces can facilitate resolution of public issues, political differences and strikes increase public problems, better management system is necessary to solve basic problems including water, effective strategies and measures are necessary to eliminate terrorism, effective control over security matters is possible in small administrative units, nationally coordinated measures are essential in the fight against terrorism, Pakistan must effectively confront the challenges of terrorism, internal unity and national solidarity are essential to eliminate terrorism, effective actions against terrorism are essential for peace and order in the country, role of state institutions is important in the fight against terrorism, not just statements, practical steps are necessary against terrorism, effective and immediate steps should be taken to control terrorism, the nation needs prayers and unity to eliminate terrorism in Pakistan, new provinces should be established immediately as per the need, there should be no further delay in the establishment of new provinces, various political parties support the establishment of new provinces, political parties also have their own interests on the issue of new provinces, SK Niazi requests Mohsin Naqvi to take immediate steps in the interest of the country, government should take immediate and effective steps on terrorism issue, all institutions must play a role for an effective strategy against terrorism, there is a need to keep a close eye on the regional situation with Afghanistan, government should be cautious on matters related to Afghanistan and other countries in the region, it is important to take into account the regional situation to deal with the threats of terrorism, nothing will be achieved through mere dramas and protests in Islamabad, practical steps are needed to solve the country’s problems, what benefit will the people get from political activities, one should think about, measures that affect business life increase problems, political parties should take into account public interest and the country’s economy, lessons should be learned from the results of past protests and political activities, there is no doubt about Jamaat-e-Islami’s intentions, Jamaat-e-Islami supported SK Niazi in the case against usury, Jamaat-e-Islami cooperated with Supreme Court to abolish usury, inflation and expenses are continuously increasing, prices of daily necessities have reached increasingly high levels, inflation has increased the difficulties for the common man, corruption is on the rise in the country, people will not come to PTI’s protest, the reason for this is that people are crushed in the mill of poverty, bribery was less earlier, now it is increasing with each passing day, the continuous increase in the trend of bribery is worrying, the trend of bribery and corruption has reached its peak, protests will not guarantee the release of PTI founder, problems will be solved only after the formation of provinces.
Legal Expert & Political Analyst Azhar Siddique emphasized that peaceful protest is a fundamental right and predicted high public turnout for PTI’s movement. He questioned the government’s economic performance over the last four years regarding foreign loans, dollar rates, and mega project spending (including Rs 11 billion allocations). Siddique demanded transparent data on tax collection, exports, and local industry support, arguing that true economic relief, education reform, functioning local governments, and lower electricity rates are necessary rather than placing heavy tax burdens on existing taxpayers.
Member of Jamaat-e-Islami Negotiation Committee Nasrullah Randhawa stated that JI is actively engaged in six rounds of talks with the government on critical public issues. He noted that JI’s recent sit-ins successfully forced a Rs 10 to 12 per unit reduction in electricity bills (with government admitting benefits up to Rs 45/unit) and revealed that negotiations have addressed 57 out of 104 Independent Power Producers (IPPs) contracts, yielding an estimated Rs 4,500 billion in savings. Randhawa urged the government to lower the State Bank’s 11.5 percent policy rate closer to regional standards (such as India’s ~5.5 percent), extend fuel and electricity subsidies to agriculture and public transport, and resolve Islamabad’s governance deadlock where local government elections have been stalled since 2021.
