ISLAMABAD: A high-level US delegation led by US Vice President JD Vance has arrived in Pakistan to participate in the Islamabad talks.

According to the Foreign Office, the delegation also includes Special Envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner.

The US delegation was welcomed by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar, Chief of Defense Forces and Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, and Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi.

The Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister welcomed the US Vice President and appreciated the US commitment to achieving lasting peace and stability in the region and the world.

He expressed the hope that all parties would engage in the negotiations in a constructive manner. Pakistan reiterated its commitment to continue facilitating the parties to a sustainable and lasting resolution of the conflict.
