One person dies of dengue in Charsadda

A person has been confirmed dead from dengue in Charsadda, Peshawar.

According to details, DHO Dr. Wasayullah said that a patient named Sajjad was suffering from dengue and passed away today. So far, 42 dengue cases have been reported in Charsadda.

On the other hand, dengue has started to rise again in Rawalpindi. According to the report of the District Health Department, 52 cases of dengue have been confirmed so far this year, out of which 8 patients were admitted to different hospitals while 5 confirmed patients are still under treatment.

Fortunately, no death due to dengue has been reported in Rawalpindi this year.

According to the statistics, 28 cases of dengue have been reported in Rawalpindi district and 22 in Murree. During the campaign to prevent the spread of dengue since January 1, more than 4.3 million houses were checked, of which the presence of larvae was confirmed in more than 1.139 million houses.

During the same period, 56,781 places were inspected and larvae were recovered at 24 places while 67,964 larvae were destroyed. According to the health department, strict action has been taken against violation of dengue SOPs, under which 2,203 FIRs were registered, 1,230 places were sealed, 3,520 challans were issued and a fine of more than Rs 4.1 million was collected.

Fresh cases have been reported in the Phaghori, Potha Sharif and Ghahal areas of Murree, while dengue patients have also been reported in Eidgah, Satellite Town, Bani and Gang Mandi in Rawalpindi city, as well as in Kahuta, Gujar Khan, Taxila and Kallar Syedan.

The health department has appealed to the citizens not to allow water to accumulate in their homes and surrounding areas and to follow precautionary measures to prevent dengue.
