ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has termed the recent statements of Indian Air Force Chief Air Marshal AP Singh regarding Operation Sindoor as baseless and untrue.
Defense Minister Khawaja Asif said that it is ridiculous that senior officers of the Indian Army are being made the face of these failures, which are actually the result of strategic shortcomings of the Indian political leadership.
Khawaja Asif said that no such claim was made by India for three months, while Pakistan immediately gave detailed technical briefings to the international media and impartial observers and foreign intelligence reports confirmed the destruction of several Indian aircraft, including Rafales, which was also acknowledged by some world leaders and Indian politicians.

He said that India failed to target a single Pakistani aircraft, Pakistan destroyed 6 Indian warplanes, S-400 air defense systems and Indian drones and also disabled several Indian air bases.
He said that Indian forces had to suffer heavy loss of life and property on the Line of Control, Pakistan challenged India that both countries present the lists of their aircraft to independent experts so that the truth is revealed to the world, but there is a fear that India will shy away from doing so.
The Defense Minister said that wars are not won by lies but by moral superiority, national determination and professionalism, such statements not only mislead the public but can also lead to dangerous strategic miscalculations in a nuclear region.
He said that even during Operation Banyan-e-Marsoos, Pakistan had made it clear that any violation of its sovereignty and territorial integrity would be met with a prompt, effective and forceful response and that the responsibility for any possible worsening situation would lie with those Indian leaders who put regional peace at stake for short-term political gains.
Earlier, the Indian Air Chief, while speaking about Operation Sindoor during a memorial lecture in Bangalore, had made a ridiculous claim of shooting down 6 Pakistani aircraft.
The Indian Air Chief claimed that India had destroyed five Pakistani fighter jets and one radar aircraft.
