ISLAMABAD: An accountability court on Thursday acquitted Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Chief Minister Punjab Nawaz Sharif and their family in Ittefaq Foundries case.
PM Sharif’s father and brother have also been acquitted who were nominated in the case.
The reference was filed in 2001 during the era of former President Pervez Musharraf.
The decision to acquit nominated person in the case was announced by Justice Sohail Nasir of the accountability court.
