During a visit to the Prime Minister’s home in Islamabad on Sunday, Shehbaz Sharif expressed his condolences to the relatives of Shaheed Major Talha Mannan, who chose martyrdom in the Balochistan helicopter crash.
The prime minister visited the grieving family members and said a prayer for the soul of the deceased.
Marriyum Aurangzeb, the minister of information, was also present.
His wife and two sons were also left behind by Major Muhammad Talha Manan.
Six people were aboard a Pakistan Army aviation helicopter that vanished on August 1 while conducting flood relief operations in Lasbela, Balochistan, after losing communication with air traffic control.
All six of the aircraft’s officers accepted martyrdom when the wreckage of the aircraft was later discovered in a coastal Balochistan province.
