RAWALPINDI: Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff (COAS), General Qamar Javed Bajwa, said on Friday that the completion of the Financial Action Task Force’s (FATF) anti-money laundering and combating the financing of terrorism and proliferation (AML/CFT) action plans is a significant accomplishment.
Major General Babar Iftikhar, Director General Inter Services Public Relations, shared the Army Chief’s message on his official Twitter handle.
“A monumental effort paving the way for whitelisting,” said the Army Chief. The core cell at GHQ that led the national effort and the civil-military team that coordinated the implementation of the action plan made it possible, making Pakistan proud.”
