
ISLAMABAD: On Saturday, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Hina Rabbani Khar reiterated Pakistan’s cooperation with the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) and the international community was based on the country’s strategic goal of strengthening its economy and further integrating into the global financial system.
She told a press conference here at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs that the “good news from FATF” would “restore confidence in our economy, give it a much-needed boost, and improve the investment climate.”
She stated that the FATF members appreciated and welcomed Pakistan’s positive and rapid progress, which paved the way for its removal from the grey list.
The minister shared details of the FATF plenary session in Berlin, Germany, where she led Pakistan’s delegation, saying that during the meeting, the FATF’s International Cooperation Review Group (ICRG) recommendations on Pakistan’s 2018 and 2021 Action Plans were discussed.
