KARACHI: Forty-two traders arrived at Karachi from Moscow via Dubai. These traders had been strangulated at the Moscow airport for unknown reasons and were deported from Moscow.
On arriving in Moscow, they were all locked up in different rooms where they spent at least 36 hours. The lack of reciprocal means of communication had worsened their agonies. Some of them were deported to Turkey from Moscow and others were deported to Dubai. They had all reached Moscow from a connecting flight from Dubai and the traders hailed from different parts of Pakistan including Quetta, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Islamabad and Karachi.
The 48 traders have reached from Moscow via Dubai through EK-604 (Emirates Airlines).
The federal investigation agency at the Jinnah International airport Karachi examined the arriving traders and after ascertaining the correct travel documents allowed them to leave for their homes. The FIA also interviewed them in a lighter manner.
The traders thus arrived at Karachi told that their travel agent was responsible for all the problems they faced at the Moscow airport and due to him the visit of traders from Pakistan to Russia for attending a seminar on IT was converted into a horrible dream. The authorities at the Moscow had treated them in a very bad manner as if they were not traders but terrorists.
They demanded the federal government to look into the entire situation. NNI
