Olympic gold medalist Arshad Nadeem is out of the medal race at the World Athletics Championships.
In the final round of the javelin competition at the ongoing World Athletics Championships in the Japanese capital Tokyo, Arshad Nadeem threw 82.73 meters on his first throw.
He was in seventh position after the first throw, but his throw was fouled in the second round.
Arshad Nadeem threw 82.75 meters in the third round, but he was out of the medal race.
To remain in the medal race, Arshad Nadeem had to be in the top eight after the first three rounds.
India’s Neeraj Chopra was out of the medal race with a throw of 84.03 meters.
Trinidad and Tobago’s Keshorn Walcott won the gold medal by throwing 88.16 meters.
