Leading Bollywood actress Kajol has revealed the reason behind breaking the rules and filming a kissing scene in her three-decade-long career.

Kajol, who has played the lead role of heroine in several Bollywood blockbusters, took a step in her OTT debut ‘The Trial: Love, Law, Deception’ that she had avoided in the past.

Kajol had stayed away from on-screen kissing scenes for a long time, but in this series, she broke her rule.

Speaking in a podcast, he said that this decision was made entirely out of character necessity.

According to him, it was not just a scene but reflected the character’s emotions and thoughts, and removing it would have been detrimental to the story.

She admitted that she was quite uncertain and anxious before filming this scene but ultimately did it considering it a professional decision.

In the series, she filmed this scene with actor Jishu Sengupta.

In this drama, Kajol plays the role of Naveenika Sengupta, who is a housewife, but after her husband’s scandal, she returns to the legal profession.

This series is a creation of director Suparn Verma.
