Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan has revealed that due to differences over the release date of the film, renowned filmmaker Karan Johar had cut off contact with him and had also stopped answering his phone calls and messages.
Varun Dhawan said this during a conversation with actress Janhvi Kapoor on the program ‘Koffee with Karan’. The 39-year-old actor interestingly said that at that time there were two people in the room with whom Karan Johar had stopped talking and started ignoring them.
He was referring to himself and Janhvi Kapoor. According to Varun, Janhvi knew that Karan was angry with him, but she had no idea that the filmmaker was also angry with Varun.
During the conversation, Janhvi Kapoor reminded that Varun had also called Karan Johar a child at one point. Varun defended his statement and said that there was no reason to be angry about this.
Karan Johar explained the reason for the differences by saying that he was already facing difficulties in finding a suitable date for the release of his film. At the same time, it was decided to release Varun Dhawan’s film on the same date. According to Karan, Varun had earlier told him that his film might also be released in cinemas on the same date, but the final date was not announced at that time.
Karan Johar said that when the release of both the films was fixed on the same day, he stopped answering Varun’s calls and messages. According to him, the resentment increased further when Varun sent a message and advised him to stop his childish actions.
However, at the end of the program, both the artists clarified that now all the differences between them have ended and the relationship is normal.
