According to Express News, the spokesperson of the Government of Pakistan, Barrister Raja Ansari, while explaining the suspension of work on the Green Line project, said that the Mayor of Karachi has reservations about the NOC from the contractor.
He said that the federation wants to provide facilities to the people of Karachi so that the people of Karachi can get travel facilities quickly, the federation has provided money for the expansion of the Green Project.
Raja Ansari said that the federation and the Sindh government are in touch regarding the project, while the federation is not in coordination with the local government and the mayor.
The spokesperson of the Government of Pakistan said that the federation completed the project quickly by cooperating with the Sindh government, the extension work of the Green Line had started, and work was going on rapidly on the Exhibition to Jamia Cloth project.
Raja Ansari said that a few days ago I also supervised the Green Line project, now the mayor will explain what he objected to, actually the issue is between the contractor and the mayor of Karachi.
He further said that the federation has fulfilled its responsibility, we want to provide facilities to the people in collaboration with the Sindh government.
