ISLAMABAD: The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Pakistan has published a comprehensive 166-page English-language catalogue titled “Uzbekistan: Regions of Opportunity” to promote trade, investment and economic cooperation between the two countries.

The publication highlights the economic, investment, export and tourism potential of several Uzbek cities and districts, as well as the Navoi Region, with the aim of attracting Pakistani investors and encouraging mutually beneficial business partnerships.
The catalogue features the cities of Nukus, Jizzakh, Kattakurgan and Khanabad, along with the districts of Gurlan, Alat, Mirishkor, Yakkasaray, Dangara and Izboskan. It provides information on regional opportunities that could lead to new investments, joint ventures, employment generation and collaborative commercial projects.

According to the embassy, the initiative seeks to translate the economic potential of Uzbekistan’s regions into practical business opportunities for Pakistani entrepreneurs and investors, further strengthening bilateral economic relations.
The publication also highlights opportunities for cooperation in technical and vocational education, particularly the modernisation of educational institutions, improvement of infrastructure and development of a skilled workforce to meet emerging industrial and economic requirements.

A total of 300 copies of the catalogue have been printed and will be distributed among leading chambers of commerce and industry, major companies and prominent business associations across Pakistan.
The initiative is expected to provide Pakistani businesses with information about investment prospects in Uzbekistan and encourage greater engagement between the private sectors of both countries.
The embassy has also made the digital edition of the catalogue available online for interested investors, business organisations and international partners.
