ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar had a telephonic conversation with Uzbekistan’s Foreign Minister Bakhtiar Saidov.

According to a statement issued by the Foreign Office, the talks between the two leaders focused on bilateral and multilateral issues of mutual interest, including Pak-Uzbek relations, and the overall situation in the region.

Uzbek Foreign Minister Bakhtiar Saidov appreciated Pakistan’s constructive and mediating role for regional peace and stability. The two leaders agreed to maintain close contacts in the future.
