Users withdrew about $3.64 billion from the world’s largest cryptocurrency trading platform Binance on Sunday after business operations resumed.
According to the report, Binance had temporarily suspended all its business operations due to a cyber attack. The attack affected more than $6 billion worth of digital assets.
After the restoration of operations, a large number of users began transferring their funds from the platform, resulting in $3.4 billion in withdrawals in just one day.
According to the BBC, Binance said in a statement on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter) that on November 1, from 6 am to 3:30 pm GMT, users withdrew $4.649 billion, while deposits of $1.1 billion were made during the same period, resulting in a net transfer of about $3.64 billion in funds from the platform.
According to Binance, withdrawals initially saw an unusual spike. Later, they slowed down and are now stabilizing as expected.
