US President Donald Trump has expressed hope for a major agreement amid ongoing tensions with Iran, saying that the two countries will eventually reach a great deal.

In an interview with the American TV channel CNBC, President Trump said that I believe Iran has no choice but to make a deal.

He added that I think we will reach a very good deal. The United States has destroyed Iran’s leadership and its military capability.

President Trump added that targeting the Iranian leadership has certainly complicated the situation in a way, but the new leadership of Iran may be more reasonable.

He also acknowledged that this process is actually tantamount to “regime change” no matter what name it is called, even though regime change was not among President Trump’s initial promises.

On the other hand, President Trump ruled out the possibility of extending the ongoing ceasefire with Iran, saying that he does not want to extend the ceasefire that ends on Wednesday.

The US President threatened that if no agreement is reached with Iran, the US military is fully prepared for war again.

He said that we have a lot of weapons and resources. We have used this break (2-week ceasefire) to increase our readiness and it is possible that Iran has also done the same to some extent.

President Trump added that our military is fully ready, mobilized and eager to attack Iran as soon as the order is given. The guns are loaded.

However, he once again expressed hope that the war with Iran will end with a great deal.
