The State Bank of Pakistan has repaid a loan of two billion dollars to the United Arab Emirates, while another one and a half billion dollars will be returned.

The State Bank of Pakistan has confirmed the payment of $2 billion to the United Arab Emirates, while sources said that despite this, there will be no impact on the country’s reserves.

Earlier, the United Arab Emirates had demanded the return of $3.5 billion from Pakistan, after which $2 billion was paid, while another $1.5 billion will have to be paid on April 23.

On the other hand, Pakistan received two billion dollars from Saudi Arabia two days ago and Pakistan also received $500 million from the sale of Eurobonds yesterday.

Sources said that despite the full payment to the UAE, the country’s dollar reserves will not be affected and external payment arrangements are in place.
