Pakistan all-rounder Shadab Khan created a new chapter in the history of ODI cricket by playing a memorable innings against England.

Batting at number eight, he scored an unbeaten record 113 runs off 96 balls and shared a record partnership of 89 runs for the tenth wicket with Haris Rauf to help Pakistan win by one wicket.

At one point, England had hope of victory when Pakistan needed 21 runs to win and Shadab was declared lbw on Gus Atkinson’s yorker, but on review, the ball looked like a normal bat at the ultra-edge, which is why he was declared not out.

It is noteworthy that Shadab Khan and Haris Rauf, who were at non-striker, were not aware that the ball had hit the bat and were about to leave disappointed after shaking hands with the English team. However, Haris Rauf advised them to take a review and this proved to be the turning point of the match.

It should be noted that Haris Rauf played a key role in the victory by scoring an unbeaten seven runs off 19 balls in a record partnership of 89 runs. He kept his wicket safe while fully supporting Shadab.
