ISLAMABAD: Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry has said that the Palestinian issue has been resolved and they are all happy and satisfied, so why is TLP protesting here in their name?
While holding a press conference in Islamabad, he said that it is the policy of the government of Pakistan and the state that there should be no blackmail by groups, the Pakistani government is clear that protesting is a democratic right, but this right is given with conditions in the constitution.
He said that the protest and the Jhat of the TLP are on record that people of national property and security forces were martyred, there is no room for the politics and demands of the Jhats, those who raised their voice for Gaza all over the world are happy today, all Islamic countries are happy that they got their rights after the great tragedy, the people of Palestine and Hamas are happy and Pakistan is one of those countries that always raised their voice for Palestine, but it is not understood here that the Palestinian issue has been resolved and they are all happy and satisfied, so why is TLP protesting here in their name?
Talal Chaudhry said that the purpose of this is something else, the sanctity of the mosque was damaged by turning the mosque into a political office, more than a dozen police and Rangers people are injured in Lahore, the government has not yet used force on the TLP, these people have just come out of Lahore in the number of 2000, our police personnel and officers do not have any firearms, they broke the cameras of the Safe City so that they would not be caught while attacking.
He said that the firing and violence have been used by the TLP, an attempt has been made to stop a few hundred people, the federal government is in constant contact with the provinces, those people have also been arrested, and there are video statements of those who had sticks, nails and glass bullets, they are kidnapping a policeman and taking him away.
He said that the federal government is continuously monitoring the entire situation, only one road in Lahore is closed, all the rest are open, an attempt is being made to stop them without using force, but one thing is clear, they will not be allowed to move forward.
Talal Chaudhry said that internet signals were closed on intelligence information and have now been opened, a few roads that are closed will also be opened.
