The Government of Pakistan and Google launch ‘AI Seho 2026’

The Government of Pakistan and Google have jointly launched “AI Sehkho 2026”.

The program aims to equip youth with AI skills through “vibe coding”. In order to accelerate Pakistan’s journey towards a global digital economy, Google for Developers has announced the “AI Sehkho 2026” program in strategic partnership with Pakistan’s Ministry of Information Technology and Telecom, Telenor and Invista.

Regarding this program, Federal Minister for IT and Telecom, Ms. Shaza Fatima, has said that our vision is to move from a traditional service-based economy to an AI-enabled and product-based economy. 65% of our population is under the age of 35, so we are making AI a top priority so that every youth, be it a techie, doctor, lawyer or artist, can be equipped with the digital skills necessary to compete in the global market.

“Google strongly believes in the future of Pakistan. Through initiatives like ‘AI Learn’, we are helping to build the necessary capacity and momentum in the local ecosystem,” said Farhan Qureshi, Cluster Director, Pakistan and Frontier Markets, Google.

He said that if we want to secure Pakistan’s digital future, we must widely promote artificial intelligence skills so that our talent can maintain its leadership in the global freelancing and gaming industries.
