Islamabad: The opposition alliance has said that the government has created a drama over Imran Khan’s health, non-implementation of the Supreme Court’s decisions is contempt of court, the decision to hold a full-scale protest on September 27 will remain in effect.
According to Express News, a meeting of the opposition parliamentary party was held under the chairmanship of Mahmood Khan Achakzai, in which Senator Raja Nasir, Barrister Gohar, Asad Qaiser, Sohail Afridi and Salman Akram Raja participated.

A statement was issued after the meeting, according to which the meeting expressed deep concern over the health of PTI founder Imran Khan and reiterated that no compromise would be made on treatment.

The participants announced to maintain the decision of a full-scale protest on September 27 and decided to invite all opposition parties to the protest and long march, for which it was agreed to intensify a public relations campaign across the country, including Punjab.

According to the statement, the participants expressed their determination to continue the joint struggle for the constitution, democracy and the rule of law, decided to make all political and parliamentary decisions of the opposition through mutual consultation, supported the Grand Opposition Alliance and agreed to make the Alliance more active.

The participants welcomed the joining of JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman and other parties in the alliance and agreed that a broader alliance would strengthen the voice of the opposition in parliament.
