RAWALPINDI: General Qamar Javed Bajwa, the Chief of the Army Staff (COAS), declared on Wednesday that the rebirth of terrorism will not be accepted.
According to a statement released by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the COAS reaffirmed this resolve while presiding over the 251st Corps Commanders’ Conference at the General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi.
The conference covered both internal and external security issues, with a focus on the flood crisis and ongoing relief efforts being made by army formations across the nation, according to the military’s media wing.
The COAS instructed the troops, “The formations must stop at nothing to take action against terrorists in collaboration with all LEAs.”.
The COAS instructed all the formations to keep a constant vigil to protect against any threats after expressing satisfaction with the operational readiness of the army.
The forum voiced its support for flood victims who were dealing with serious challenges and reaffirmed its commitment to providing the greatest amount of aid for their relief and recovery.
The COAS instructed the army to concentrate on providing relief, rehabilitation, reconstruction, and assistance in reestablishing normalcy in the flood-devastated area.
Gen Bajwa praised the formations for assisting those who were suffering and extending a helping hand..
General Bajwa also thanked the army engineers and FWO for restoring emergency access to vital roadways and communication facilities.
