Ambassador of Tajikistan, Yousuf Sharifzoda, visited the head office of Roze News and Pakistan Group of Newspapers to mark Tajikistan’s Independence Day with a brief ceremony. Serving as the chief guest, the ambassador cut a cake to commemorate the occasion and highlighted the historic and friendly ties between the two brotherly nations.
On his arrival, Ambassador Sharifzoda was warmly welcomed by Director News Naveed Niazi, Executive Editor Nawabzada Khurshid, Controller News Qarār Hussain, Programming Head Rashid Khan, Marketing Head Qasim Rai, Anchor Naveed Khokhar, Special Correspondent Nawabzada Shah Ali, and other dignitaries. He was also given a tour of various sections of the TV channel.

During the ceremony, the ambassador spoke about the deep-rooted historical connections between Pakistan and Tajikistan, emphasizing the strong cultural and spiritual bonds shared by the peoples of both countries. He also referred to the scholarly and spiritual contributions of notable personalities, noting that this shared heritage further strengthens bilateral relations.
In an exclusive conversation with Roze News, Ambassador Sharifzoda praised the channel’s broadcasts, particularly lauding its practice of airing the call to prayer five times a day as a remarkable commitment to Islamic values. He also commended Roze News for its distinguished role in diplomatic reporting, highlighting that the diplomatic community in Islamabad highly regards the channel.
The ambassador expressed optimism that Pakistan-Tajikistan relations would continue to grow stronger and hoped for enhanced cooperation in the media sector in the future.
