ISLAMABAD: Editor in Chief Pakistan Group of Newspapers and Chairman Roze News SK Niazi, while talking in his renowned talk show Sachi Baat, discussed key national issues including the Supreme Court’s decision regarding the medical treatment of the PTI founder, water conservation, and internal economic challenges. He noted that the Supreme Court’s ruling will remain in effect and the PTI founder will be shifted to a hospital for treatment. Commenting on the internal state of the opposition, SK Niazi observed that while PTI maintains significant vote bank support, internal division and a lack of discipline remain prevalent. On environmental and infrastructure matters, he expressed deep concern over the massive volume of rainwater wasted during recent heavy downpours in Islamabad and Rawalpindi, calling for concrete measures to secure water resources. He also highlighted pressing economic hurdles, noting that corruption, declining domestic exports, rising poverty, and a stagnant real estate market require immediate policy attention.
Leader of the Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP) Khurram Hameed Rokhri welcomed the Supreme Court’s decision regarding the PTI founder’s health and emphasized that medical treatment should not be politicized. Reaffirming that the PTI founder has not made any deal, he stressed the importance of political unity and structural reforms for national betterment. Addressing the water crisis, Rokhri pointed out that melting glaciers and heavy rains are leading to severe water wastage, strongly advocating for the construction of the Kalabagh Dam alongside maintaining historic reservoirs like the Namal Dam.
MNA PML-N Dr. Darshan clarified that the PML-N has no objection to the PTI founder receiving proper medical care, noting that top medical professionals at institutions like PIMS are fully capable of providing quality healthcare. He highlighted the government’s economic performance under Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, stating that PML-N successfully saved the country from default and placed it back on the development track. On the issue of water management, Dr. Darshan urged the nation to focus on building small dams and water storage capacity to prevent wastage, adding that previous government allocations like funding for the Bhasha Dam demonstrate commitment toward long-term water security.
MNA PTI Shafqat Awan asserted that the PTI founder has consistently refused any political deals, as evidenced by his prolonged incarceration. He detailed health concerns regarding the PTI founder’s eye condition and stated that the founder will be moved to the hospital for proper medical examination as allowed by the court. Dismissing rumors of foreign travel, Shafqat Awan affirmed that the founder has not applied to leave Pakistan and that the party remains confident in its public mandate whenever fair elections are conducted.
