HUNZA, Nov 19 (INP): Federal Commerce Minister Khurram Dastgir Khan has said special steps would be taken for the promotion of commerce and trade in Gilgit-Baltistan.
Talking to various delegations here Wednesday, he said he is visiting Gilgit-Baltistan on the directives of the prime minister.
He said his visit is aimed at to address difficulties being faced by the business community and review avenues to enhance trade with China via Khunjarab border.
The minister paid a visit to Khunjarab Zero point and also toured Dry port at Sust.
Later, talking to media men, he said Khunjarab to Gawadar economic corridor road project will enhance exports of Gilgit-Baltistan’s local products including fruits and vegetables.
He said it will pave way for establishment of more industries in the area and thus help generate employment
