The Anti-Terrorism Court acquitted six accused including Shah Muhammad Qureshi and Hamza Azeem in the May 9 case, while Dr. Yasmin Rashid, Mian Mahmood Al-Rashid and others were sentenced to 10 years in prison.

According to Express News, the court gave a reserved verdict in the Sherpao Pul provocative speeches and arson and encirclement case.

The final arguments of the accused and the government lawyers had been completed, Advocate Burhan Moazzam and Rana Mudassar Umar had presented arguments on behalf of the accused, while Judge Arshad Javed heard the case and reserved the verdict after the arguments were completed.

The reserved verdict said that the Anti-Terrorism Court acquitted six accused including Shah Mahmood Qureshi and Hamza Azeem, while 9 accused were convicted.

The accused who were found guilty include Dr. Yasmin Rashid, Mian Muhammad Al-Rashid and others. The court sentenced them to 10 years in prison.
