ISLAMABAD: Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir has said that those who hinder the country’s security and prevent the army from working will face the consequences.
Speaking at the Apex Committee meeting chaired by the Prime Minister, the Army Chief said that every Pakistani soldier is in the war against terrorism, some in uniform and some without uniform, we all have to fight against the scourge of terrorism.
He said that the constitution of Pakistan comes before all of us, the constitution imposes on us (army) the responsibility of internal and external security of Pakistan, whoever will obstruct the security of Pakistan and prevent us from doing our work. He will have to suffer the consequences.

General Syed Asim Munir said that the Pakistan Army and law enforcement agencies are making up for the shortcomings in governance by sacrificing their martyrs on a daily basis.
