Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has expressed serious concern over the increasing use of fake videos and voices created using artificial intelligence and has demanded strict action against those responsible.

While hosting the reality show ‘Bigg Boss’, Salman Khan said that he himself has also been a victim of fake videos created using AI.

The actor said that in the present era, technology has advanced so much that the ability to clone someone’s voice or change a video in such a way that it becomes difficult to distinguish between the original and fake content. According to him, what a person says can be changed and even made to curse from his mouth.

Salman Khan said that his own videos have also been made in which the original content has been changed through AI and voice dubbing. According to him, this situation is also scary because a person can understand just by watching the video that the relevant person really said that thing or did that thing.

He raised the question that if a person ignorantly forwards such a fake video, considering it to be true, then it is a different matter, but those who deliberately create such content despite knowing the truth, should be taken strict action against them.

Salman Khan said in clear words that such people should be sent behind bars. According to him, this kind of thing will not stop until at least one and a half people are sent to jail. He also stressed the need for strict legislation and effective censorship on social media to deal with this problem.

The actor also drew attention to the fact that this issue should not be limited to celebrities. He said that famous people have resources and can try to reach out to those who make fake videos by contacting the cyber cell, but the common people and their families usually do not have such facility and access.

According to Salman Khan, fake content and negative propaganda targeting ordinary citizens can have very serious and devastating effects on their lives.
