According to sources, the selection committee has held initial consultations on the proposed names. Sahibzada Farhan is likely to be made the captain of the T20 team.

Sources further say that if Sahibzada Farhan is made the captain, Salman Ali Agha will not be part of the T20 series.

In addition, the selection of Shaheen Shah Afridi and Haris Rauf in the T20 team also seems difficult. However, the return of Fakhar Zaman seems certain.

The selectors are keeping an eye on the performance of young players in the Asian Games.

The list of proposed players will be finalized after the semi-finals of the Asian Games.
