In addition, large-scale outbreaks of bird flu have also been reported in the states of Minnesota, Wisconsin and North Dakota.

In the past, bird flu outbreaks in egg-laying chicken farms have led to the culling of large numbers of infected birds, which has led to a significant increase in egg prices in the United States.

Bird flu has not been limited to poultry farms, but the virus has also been reported to have killed farm workers and some people who came into contact with infected animals.
