Lahore: Clouds continue to persist over various cities in Punjab; Lahore has experienced heavy rainfall accompanied by strong winds. In the provincial capital, rain fell across areas including Abbott Road, Lakshmi Chowk, Mall Road, the Civil Secretariat, Sanda, Chauburji, Ferozepur Road, Gulberg, Canal Road, and Muslim Town, making the weather pleasant and leading to a significant drop in temperature. Currently, light clouds cover the sky, and cool breezes continue to blow.

According to the Meteorological Department, the current temperature in Lahore is 22°C. The minimum temperature is expected to be 18°C, while the maximum may reach 27°C. Humidity is recorded at 80%, with a wind speed of 5 km/h. The Meteorological Department has indicated the possibility of intermittent rain in the city today.

The rainfall has caused water to accumulate in low-lying areas, and power supplies were disrupted in several locations due to feeder trips. Meanwhile, the weather has also turned pleasant in other Punjab cities, including Minchinabad, Sangla Hill, Nankana Sahib, Sialkot, Hafizabad, and Pindi Bhattian, following rainfall.

Separately, in Azad Kashmir, snowfall has occurred not only in the mountainous regions but also in populated areas. Snow fell in the upper reaches of the Neelum Valley; the tourist village of Arang Kel was blanketed in white, and snowfall was also reported last night in the Gurez Valley and Shounter. The weather has shifted in Muzaffarabad city and its surrounding areas due to rainfall, while snowfall has occurred on the high mountains of the Leepa Valley, Bagh District, and Haveli. There is a possibility of further rain in some areas and snowfall in the mountainous regions today. In Chitral and its vicinity, intermittent rain continues, and the mountains have been blanketed in white following the season’s first snowfall. The rain and snow have intensified the cold, prompting residents to start wearing warm clothing.
