MNA Muslim League-N Huma Chughtai said martial law will not be imposed in the country, discussions are underway on forming a province, the option of a Saraiki province was also being discussed by Punjab, discussions and consultations continued on various options, the proposal to increase administrative units was also under consideration, proposals for the establishment of a Saraiki province also kept coming up, various things and suggestions have been coming out regarding KP, the system should be fixed, the current system is not working properly, given the circumstances, the administrative system also needs improvement, governance needs to be strengthened at the local level, Strong local governance is essential to solving public problems. Inflation and poverty are real challenges, while global economic conditions are also affecting Pakistan. The government is taking steps to control inflation, and political parties should discuss issues like petrol prices through dialogue. PML-N’s KP white paper has raised questions over anti-terror funds, including Rs90 billion. With terrorism resurfacing, provinces must ensure transparency, accountability and effective use of funds for security and development. Political parties should focus on national issues and work together to find solutions.

The formation of new provinces should consider constitutional requirements and ground realities. The PPP says it will not support any step harmful to democracy. Questions have also been raised over the government’s counter-terrorism policy, NAB’s performance and the use of public funds. The National Action Plan was a joint responsibility of the federal and provincial governments, and terrorism in Balochistan also requires attention. Any removal of a chief minister or imposition of emergency under Article 234 must follow the constitutional procedure and meet the required conditions.

Former President Supreme Court Bar Amanullah Kanrani said we need to unite the nation, we have to be united for the sake of the country’s interest, it is difficult to resolve problems without a strong and unified government at the center, creating political consensus in the country is the need of the hour, instead of looking at the center and provinces separately, we must work together at the national level, consensus and unity among political leadership are essential to resolve national issues, merely making new laws will not solve problems, political consensus is also important, Political unity and consensus can help create a path toward resolving national problems. People across Sindh, Punjab, KP and other provinces face various challenges, requiring an effective national strategy and stronger coordination between the federation and provinces. A clear command structure and coordinated approach are also needed on security matters. The government should improve communication with the public and highlight its performance and national achievements. Different views exist on imposing emergency in KP, but the situation should be considered in its historical and regional context, including developments since 2001. Terrorism cannot be linked to one political party or institution alone; police and security personnel, along with other agencies, are fighting terrorism and making sacrifices. The country needs stronger institutions, better coordination and a more effective overall system.
