Islamabad: Federal Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb stated that Pakistan is now in a better economic position than before, and the trend of economic improvement is continuing into the current fiscal year.
Addressing the 'Leaders in Islamabad Business Summit,' Muhammad Aurangzeb noted that output in large-scale industries has improved, the current account is benefiting from a robust rise in remittances, and IT exports are steadily increasing. The country is moving towards a sustainable, export-led economic growth model.
Muhammad Aurangzeb stated that the government is making concerted efforts to stabilize the national economy and achieve sustainable economic growth, while also focusing on providing greater opportunities to the private sector through reforms across various fields. Positive results from the government's fiscal policy are becoming evident; the budget deficit has narrowed and government revenue has increased, alongside progress in fiscal and institutional reforms.
