Prime Minister Imran Khan, once again, spoke up about his principle stance of having a dialogue with India to resolve the long-standing Kashmir issue between the two countries. This is not the first time that the Prime Minister has reaffirmed Pakistan’s resolve to provide due rights to the people of Kashmir as per the resolutions of the United Nations Security Council.
On Thursday, while speaking at a ceremony, Mr. Imran said that ‘Kashmir has kept the peace of South Asia hostage. We hope for India to have such a government that can resolve the conflict through logic and sanity. It is the only problem between India and Pakistan. Till last minute, Pakistan will try to resolve the conflict through dialogue ‘.
He went on to say that Pakistan’s peace overtures towards India have been considered a weakness by the Modi government. He went on to say that dialogue is the best solution for conflict resolution. He was of the view that the RSS and the Hindutva ideology is a tragedy for the Indians themselves and this has led to unprecedented marginalization in the country.
Although a message of goodwill and readiness to hold dialogue on Kashmir is visible from Pakistan, reinforcing its commitment to regional peace, being a responsible nation, but the situation at the other side of the border is totally opposite. The extremist government of Narender Modi is not ready to provide due rights to Kashmiris, even the Muslims, and other minorities, living in India are suffering badly from the brutalities of the Modi-led Hindutwa government.
According to the latest report released by the Research Section of Kashmir Media Service on the occasion of World Human Rights Day, today, said the Universal Declaration of Human Rights adopted on 10 December 1948 was indeed a milestone, but no single out of 30 basic human rights enlisted in the UDHR exists in IIOJK.
The report said that unabated Indian state terrorism had claimed the lives of 95,925 innocent Kashmiris since January 1989 till date. The troops molested 11,246 women and damaged 110,445 residential houses and other structures. Over 8,000 people mostly youth were subjected to enforced disappearance in custody.
The report pointed out that the Indian atrocities have increased manifold since 5th August 2019, when the Narendra Modi-led fascist Indian government robbed the Kashmiris of their identity by revoking the special status of IIOJK.
Though the real face of India is now exposed to the whole international community as well. Many renowned journalists and authors from Europe and America have also spoken up against the Indian atrocities in Occupied Kashmir.
The international community must realize that if they won’t stand for Kashmiris now, owing to their economic interests, history will never remember those in power with golden words. Besides the peace gesture of Pakistan and exposing of Indians, time and again, on the basis of facts and figures, the silence of the global community is a big question mark on the face of the so-called civilized world.
