According to a statement issued by the Media Wing of the Presidential Palace, President Asif Ali Zardari, in his message of congratulations to the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin and the Russian people on Victory Day, said that the victory in the Great War against Fascism is a glorious monument to the sacrifices made by the Russian people in the global struggle.

He said that this historic achievement is not only a symbol of the courage and determination of the Russian people but also of their contribution to global peace, security and stability.

President Zardari said that Pakistan values ​​its relations with Russia and demonstrates a shared commitment to a fair, peaceful and rules-based international system.

He paid tribute to all those who sacrificed their lives in the fight against Nazism, including today’s Pakistani soldiers who served in the Allied forces.
