LARKANA, Nov 20 (INP) : Preparations for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s Friday rally in Larkana were finalized Thursday, with the party leadership expecting thousands of supporters in the gathering at PPP’s political stronghold.

A giant stage has been raised in a ground at Ali Abad area adjacent to Larkana city, decorating the venue with Imran Khan’s portraits.

More than 50,000 chairs have been placed at the venue that has a capacity of at least 0.2 million people.

Party leader Nadir Akmal Laghari has claimed that millions of Sindhi people would participate in the rally.

Meanwhile unknown persons in Gujranwala torched 11 hoardings of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf installed at public places of the city.

According to PTI’s district office-bearer, the party workers had installed advertisement signboards across the city in connection with preparations of Nov 23 rally across the city.

“Six of the billboards were found burnt today, and 11 such hoardings have been torched in past three days. It seems to be a conspiracy to foil our public gathering,” said the PTI local leader, calling for action against the culprits.
