ISLAMABAD (APP): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Monday expressed deep concern and strongly condemned the firing incident at the dera (outbuilding) of Member of the Punjab Assembly from Toba Tek Singh Col. (Retd) Ayub Gadhi.

The prime minister, in a statement, directed the relevant authorities to complete the inquiry into the incident swiftly to identify those responsible and bring them to justice.

Calling Ayub Gadhi one of the hardworking workers of the Pakistan Muslim League (N), the prime minister said that the attack on the MPA while he was listening to public grievances was extremely concerning.

He offered prayers for those who lost their lives in the incident and prayed for strength and patience for the bereaved families, as well as for the swift recovery of the injured.
