PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Health department on Thursday issued a report on Peshawar’s anti-polio drive which was launched on November 23. During the campaign, parents of 12000 children refused to inoculate polio drops to their children.
According to details, the report has been issued by health department stating that one day polio campaign was started on November 23 in Peshawar in which about 7,54,000 children were likely to be administered polio drops, however, about 6,46,000 children were vaccinated.
According to report, 4260 teams were arranged and 31452 children were deprived of polio vaccination due to various reasons.
Moreover, report claims that polio campaign in Matni was not carried out due to security reasons.
