In the first innings of the first Test against Bangladesh, Pakistan returned to the pavilion on the third day of play after scoring 386 runs, while the host team managed to take a lead of 27 runs, with debutant opener Azan Owais scoring his first Test century.

On the third day, Pakistan started the innings at the loss of 179 runs for one wicket, but opener Azan Owais was dismissed for 103 runs for a total score of 210.

Earlier, the entire Bangladesh team was dismissed for 413 runs in the first innings. The second day started the game with Mushfiqur Rahim scoring 48 and Liton Das scoring 8 runs.
