Islamabad: Pakistan should play its part for the peaceful resolution to Saudi Arabia, Iran tensions this was state by Member National Assembly & President of Pakistan Muslim League (Z) President Ijaz-ul-Haq while speaking exclusively to Sardar Khan Niazi in Roze News program Sachi Baat.
The Pakistan Muslim League (Z) President said that Pakistan’s relations with Saudi Arabia stretch back to many years and the Government of Saudi Arabia has supported Pakistan during every difficulty. He however said that Pakistan should not become a party in the conflict but should work to resolve the issue in a peaceful way. He said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif should visit both Saudi Arabia and Iran in order to find a solution to the crisis. He point out that the late Muhammad Zia-ul-Haq had played a positive role in mending relations between Iran and Iraq.
Responding to a question regarding the recent visit of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Pakistan and the relation between Pakistan and India Ijaz-ul-Haq said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has made every effort to normalize relations with India. Ijaz however said that the Indian Prime Narendra Modi has extremist tendencies and he has always harbored anti-Muslim sentiments. He pointed out that the relations between Pakistan and India have always been affected by terrorism related incidents. Ijaz further said that there was no agenda of the recent meeting between Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and the India Prime Minister and it seems that Modi’s wishes that there is no talk of the Kashmir issue. He said that the Kashmir issue should be resolved in the light of the United Nations resolutions. He said that the Kashmiris are facing India’s state sponsored terrorism in Kashmir. Ijaz also blamed India of supporting terrorism in Pakistan particularly in Balochistan. Commenting on the recent propaganda in the Indian media against Pakistan Ijaz said that the India media never criticizes its own Government despite the fact that there is movement for freedom in thirty-states of India.
While responding to a question by Sardar Khan Niazi, Ijaz said that the Federal and Provincial Governments have paid zero attention to the problems of the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs). He said that at present there area nearly 1.5 million IDPs that need the Government’s attention. Commenting on the on-going Karachi operation Ijaz-ul-Haq pointed out that all parties were in favor of operation in Karachi. He added that efforts to save Dr. Asim Hussain are a conspiracy against the National Action Plan (NAP).
